General Terms and Conditions of Use (GTC)

Welcome to KotPlace , the platform specializing in connecting landlords and students looking for accommodation in Belgium. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms of use.

1. Registration and access

• Account creation is reserved for adults, or minors with parental authorization.
• Each user agrees to provide accurate information during registration and to keep their data up to date.

2. Rules for owners

• It is strictly forbidden to publish false advertisements or fraudulent offers.
• Each advertisement must precisely describe the accommodation offered (location, price, condition, availability…).
• Discriminatory, offensive or illegal advertisements are prohibited.
• Any abusive behavior, harassment or attempt to misuse the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes will result in account deletion.
• Competitors are not permitted to collect data, solicit, or publish advertisements on their own behalf without written permission from KotPlace.

9. Limitation of Liability

• KotPlace is a platform for connecting people and does not systematically verify the truthfulness, quality or legality of ads published by users.
• Each user (owner or student) remains solely responsible for the content they publish and the veracity of the information provided.
• KotPlace cannot be held responsible for any dispute, fraud, false advertisement or damage resulting from a relationship or agreement concluded between users on the platform.
• In the event of a report or suspicion of illegal content, KotPlace reserves the right to remove any content or account concerned without prior notice.

3. Rules for students

• Students must communicate respectfully with landlords.
• It is forbidden to impersonate someone or to contact landlords for any purpose other than renting accommodation.
• Any attempt at fraud, spam, or harassment will result in immediate exclusion.

4. General behavior & safety

• Any user can report an advertisement or inappropriate behavior via messaging or the contact form.
• KotPlace reserves the right to remove any content or account that does not comply with these rules, without prior notice.
• Financial transactions take place outside the platform: KotPlace does not participate in payments and declines all responsibility in case of dispute.
• Respect, kindness and transparency are the core values ​​of the KotPlace community.

5. Confidentiality & Personal Data

Consult our Privacy Policy to learn all about how we manage your personal data.

6. Account modification and deletion

• Each user can modify or delete their account at any time from their personal space.
• Deleting the account will erase all associated data.

7. Intellectual Property

• All content (text, visuals, logo) is the property of Lifeora or their respective authors. Any reproduction without permission is prohibited.
