General conditions of use (CGU)

Welcome to Kotplace , the platform specializing in the connection between owners and students looking for housing in Belgium. By creating an account or using our services, you accept these conditions of use.

1. Registration and access

• The creation of an account is reserved for adults, or minors with parental authorization.
• Each user undertakes to provide exact information during registration and keep their data up to date.

2. Rules for owners

• It is strictly prohibited to publish false announcements or fraudulent offers.
• Each ad must describe precisely the proposed accommodation (location, price, condition, availability, etc.).
• Discriminatory, offensive or contrary to the law are prohibited.
• Any abusive behavior, harassment or attempt to divert the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes will result in the abolition of the account.
• Competitors are not authorized to collect data, to approach or publish announcements for their own account without written authorization of Kotplace.

9. Limitation of responsibility

• Kotplace is a connection platform and does not systematically check the veracity, quality or legality of the announcements published by users.
• Each user (owner or student) remains solely responsible for the content he publishes and the veracity of the information communicated.
• Kotplace cannot be held responsible in the event of dispute, fraud, false ad or damage resulting from a relationship or an agreement concluded between users on the platform.
• In the event of reporting or suspicion of illicit content, Kotplace reserves the right to delete any content or account concerned without notice.

3. Rules for students

• Students must communicate respectfully with the owners.
• It is forbidden to usurp an identity or to contact owners for a purpose other than the rental of accommodation.
• Any attempted fraud, spam or harassment will lead to immediate exclusion.

4. General behavior & security

• Any user can report an inappropriate ad via messaging or the contact form.
• Kotplace reserves the right to delete any content or account that does not comply with these rules, without notice.
• Financial exchanges are made outside the platform: Kotplace does not take part in payments and declines any responsibility in the event of a dispute.
• Respect, benevolence and transparency are the central values ​​of the Kotplace community.

5. Confidentiality & Personal Data

Consult our privacy policy to learn all about the management of your personal data.

6. Modification and deletion of account

• Each user can modify or delete their account at any time from their personal space.
• The deletion of the account results in the erasure of all the related data.

7. Intellectual property

• All content (texts, visuals, logo) are the property of Lifeora or their respective authors. Any reproduction without agreement is prohibited.
